Artist Louise Lambert – “The Lady of Light”

Nothing connects the beauty of nature with the valued traditions of the past like a cluster-laden vineyard. Such breathtaking scenery and panoramic views are what attracted artist Louise Lambert to the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada.

Located on the edge of Canada's only desert, Lambert’s studio is surrounded by the local vineyards that cover the hillsides above beautiful Okanagan Lake. Okanagan Wines are now considered among some of the best in the world, winning multiple gold medals both at home and abroad.

Lambert’s many showings throughout the valley have garnered wide acclaim, causing the local media to nickname her "The Lady of Light" for her ability to capture within her work the spectacular lights and shadows of the surrounding mountains, skies and vineyards.

Her breathtaking renditions of vineyards both local and abroad capture the true essence of the trade. Local estate wineries welcome her shows and displays, where both tourists and locals alike acquire her work as a way of taking home some of the ambience of their vineyard visit.

Lambert’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries and in multiple juried shows. A former member of the Board of Directors of the Coppini Fine Arts Academy of San Antonio, Lambert’s originals can be found in fine homes throughout Canada, the United States, and Australia.

A native of Toronto, Lambert has travelled the world and captured its complexity and beauty in both portraits and landscapes. A former marketing executive for Fortune 500 companies, Louise's artistic sojourn has taken her from art studies at Ryerson University to further private studies in the US, Canada, and Singapore. A random summer visit to the Okanagan Valley captured her heart, causing her to recently relocate to the area.
